Jubilee Party at the Memorial Hall, Playing Fields and Church
Fun and Games for all the family
Holy Week and Easter

Our Holy Week services start on Sunday 1 April with an all age worship for Palm Sunday.
On Monday and Wednesday evenings, there will be meditiations at 1930 led by members of the congregation.
On Tuesday, we are trying out a passover meal in the Memorial Hall as we get a chance to understand what this special meal is all about.
On Thursday, we meet for a communion service to remember the last supper Jesus shared with his disciples. Then on Friday, we can travel to the foot of the cross in quiet meditation followed by a short service leading up to the crucifixion.
Then on Easter Sunday, we share in the celebration of resurrection with our Easter Eucharist services.
For the younger members, there is a holiday club on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and a short service on Friday morning.

Harvest

Our Harvest Festival for 2011 will start with a Barn Dance in the Memorial Hall on the 24th September, followed by a festal Eucharist service on the 25th at 1015, Gifts of produce will be shared between the Padley Centre and Derby City Mission.
Cash gifts will be split between the Bishop of Derby's Harvest Appeal (for North India) and Famine Relief in East Africa.

Tickets for the Barn Dance are priced at £7 for individuals and £18 for a family.

Ascension Day 2nd June
Rather than hold our own service to celebrate the ascension, we are invited, along with members of other churches in the Deanery, to a joint service at the Cathedral. Transport can be arranged for anyone wishing to attend. Please contact one of the ministry team.

Licencing of new Priest
We have been given a date for the licencing of our new Priest in charge, Alison Maddocks.
The service will be in church on the 16th March. Final details are still to be confirmed - but the event will be in the evening.

UPDATE  31/1/11

The service will be at 1930 and be conducted by the Bishop of Derby.
