Colin's Leaving Do
Thanks to Anne Burton, we have some photos from Colin's leaving barbecue in the gallery. Checkout the current year section.
Those members of the congregation who receive the Breadsall Venture will have noted that it was expected that interviews would be held in June for the vacancy. Unfortunately, there were no applicants for the position and it has been decided with the Diocese that re-advertising the position will be delayed until the autumn.
The Wardens and ministry team will ensure that worship continues in the current pattern, utilising visting clergy where necessary.
We said our farewells today to Colin and Prue as they leave Breadsall for Alvaston. We thank them for the leadership and fellowship they gave us during the last year and wish them a safe move and God's blessing on their new work.
The rain kept off whilst we enjoyed a barbecue in the Memorial Hall, which as usual, was a very pleasurable event.
A date for your diaries: 6 June After the morning service, we are holding a barbecue in the Memorial Hall to give thanks for the year Colin has spent with us and to wish he and Prue all the best as they move to Alvaston later in the month.
The cooking should start at around 1200 - please come along and help celebrate this day.
