All Saints' Church is the final resting please of Erasmus Darwin, grandfather of the more famous Charles Darwin

All Saints' Church houses the tomb and memorial to Erasmus Darwin. Erasmus lived for some time in the nearby Breadsall Priory, currently a country hotel in the Marriott chain.
On his death, he was buried in the church. You can see pictures of his memorial in the church gallery.
